Bing & Grøndahl lamb figure no. 2562 porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl lamb figure no. 2562 is a classic porcelain figurine with a vivid and lifelike expression. The lamb is modelled in a low, forward-facing position, which gives the figure movement and personality, and the small head is turned slightly to the side, so that the gaze appears alert and curious. The light glaze is emphasised by discreet details at the eyes, muzzle and hooves, which give the motif depth without taking anything away from the calm overall impression.

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine fits beautifully among other animal figurines in porcelain, but it also stands strongly on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of Danish design and decorative art. The motif has a simplicity that makes it easy to place in both classic and more modern homes, where the figurine adds warmth, history and a fine touch of rural atmosphere.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also contains the special charm that comes with things that are created to last. Choosing vintage porcelain is a way to give good craftsmanship new life, while at the same time giving the home something with more soul and character than mass-produced new furnishings. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and for those who are fond of animals in porcelain, this lamb is a fine choice with a calm, timeless expression.
