Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day Figurine St. Bernard Puppy no. 1916693

This Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine depicts a St. Bernard puppy, sitting calmly with a gentle and thoughtful expression. The figurine is modeled with soft shapes and a natural posture that highlights the puppy's heavy paws, drooping ears and characteristic markings in light brown, white and darker tones. It is a dog figurine with warmth and presence, which looks beautiful both alone and together with other animal figurines in porcelain.

As part of the series of B&G Mother's Day figurines, this figurine also holds special interest for collectors. The motif of the St. Bernard puppy is connected to Bing & Grøndahl's Mother's Day plate from the same year, where the same animal appears as the motif. Therefore, the figurine is ideal for both collectors of Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurines and for those who collect B&G Mother's Day plates and wish to complement with the accompanying figurine.

The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and made in porcelain with underglaze, which gives the surface gloss and depth in the colors. The calm modeling and the finely balanced shades make the motif credible and lively without seeming overdone. It is precisely this balance that helps make many older B&G figurines sought after today, both as collectors' items and as a personal detail in the home.

A Mother's Day figurine like this fits nicely in the display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of dog figurines, Bing & Grøndahl figurines or other classic porcelain figurines. It can also be an ideal gift for a dog lover or for the collector who is missing precisely this figurine in the series of B&G Mother's Day figurines. Older porcelain figurines with history and quality are also a beautiful choice for you who appreciate lasting craftsmanship and the joy of giving classic design new life in a modern home.
