Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine cat no. 1916694 with flaw without ball

This Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine with a cat motif has a calm and observant expression, which many collectors and cat lovers will recognize immediately. The figurine shows a sitting cat with its head bent and its front paws gathered in front of it, shaped in soft lines and with fine transitions between the white and grey-brown shades. This gives the figurine life and presence and makes it decorative both on its own and as part of a larger collection of porcelain figurines.

The figurine is part of the series of B&G Mother's Day figurines, which hold a special place among collectors of Bing & Grøndahl. Precisely with the Mother's Day figurines, there is a close connection to the Mother's Day plates, because the figurine from the individual year depicts the same animal as Bing & Grøndahl's Mother's Day plate from the same year. Therefore, this cat figurine may be of interest both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine, B&G Mother's Day plate, and to those who wish to connect figurine and plate together around the same animal motif.

The underglaze gives the surface depth and a beautiful sheen, while the subdued colors fit easily into both classic and modern interiors. The cat motif makes it ideal in a collection with other animal figurines, but it also works well on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a personal gift for a cat friend. Older porcelain figurines like this carry history and craftsmanship with them, and they add soul to the home in a way that new production can rarely imitate.

The existing registration states that the figurine is sold as "with flaw without ball". The motif is still easily recognizable and sought after, especially for collectors looking for a specific Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine with cat. The documented item number also makes it easier to identify in relation to other figurines in the series.
