Royal Copenhagen kitten figurine no. 302 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 302 depicts a kitten in the middle of a playful moment. It lies on its back with one paw stretched up into the air, while the other legs are folded softly around the body. This gives the figurine a lively and natural expression, which immediately brings to mind a secure and curious kitten in domestic surroundings. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for everyone who is fond of cat figurines in porcelain, this is a model with plenty of personality.

Allan Therkelsen has created a figurine in which movement and calm go hand in hand. The grey stripes across the back, head and legs stand out beautifully against the light body, and the small pink paw pads under the paws add a fine, eye-catching element. The face is modelled with a gentle and attentive expression, and the whole shape has the soft roundness that suits the motif so well. The underglaze gives the surface depth and sheen, while at the same time the painted details appear harmonious and durable.

This porcelain figurine fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. It can stand alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers or in a display cabinet, but also works well together with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. As a gift, it is ideal for the cat lover, the collector or the one who appreciates Danish design with figurative warmth. It is a figurine that brings life to the interior without seeming dominant, and which has the immediate charm one often seeks in older and newer porcelain figurines from Royal Copenhagen.
