Squirrel ceramic figurine Knud Basse 8 cm with small repair

A small squirrel with an upright tail and gathered front paws gives this figurine a calm and charming expression. Knud Basse has captured the animal's alert posture in a simple, soft form, where the rounded lines and the warm brownish glaze create a natural and timeless whole. The figurine is well suited for those looking for Danish ceramics, animal figurines and smaller crafts with personality.

The compact size makes the squirrel easy to place on a shelf, in a windowsill or as a small detail on a desk, a side table or among other ceramic figurines. The warm shades and the stylised design language also make the figurine suitable together with both Nordic vintage, classic home décor and more modern interiors. As a gift idea, it is ideal for collectors of animal figurines and for those who love Danish design with a lively and down-to-earth expression.

Knud Basse is known for his ceramic figurines inspired by nature and wildlife, and that is precisely what is felt here. The figurine has a fine balance between the simple and the characteristic, so the squirrel appears both decorative and recognisable. When choosing older ceramics like this, you get not just a figurine, but also a piece of design history that can continue to bring joy to the home. It is a sustainable way to decorate with quality and soul rather than new production.

Please note that the figurine has a small repair at the ear, which is also stated in the item's title.
