Dahl Jensen Bali girl figure no. 1136

Dahl Jensen figure no. 1136 depicts a seated Bali girl in a calm, thoughtful posture. The figure has a presence that immediately catches the eye, with the slightly bowed head, the bare shoulders and the relaxed seated position, which give the motif a quiet and harmonious expression. It is a figure that adds warmth, personality and a touch of exotic inspiration to the interior.

The motif is finely modelled with many visible details. The Bali girl wears a large headdress in light blue and white shades, large earrings as well as a patterned cloth around the legs. The light upper part complements the decorative lower part beautifully, where the play of colours and the ornamentation bring the figure to life. From every angle, the carefully crafted design is evident, and it is precisely the seated position that makes the figure particularly suitable as a decorative porcelain figure on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of human figures and figures in national costume.

The figure is from Dahl Jensen and created by the artist Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his characterful and atmospheric figures. Here, sculptural calm is united with decorative finesse, and the result is a collector's figure with both cultural character and classic Danish figure tradition. For collectors of Dahl Jensen figures, no. 1136 is a motif with a distinct identity, and for those who decorate with older design and applied art, it is a beautiful choice with history and soul.

Older figures like this have a special charm because they are created to last and to be appreciated through generations. That also makes them a sustainable alternative to new production. A vintage figure like this can stand alone as an eye-catcher or be combined with other porcelain figures, giving the home a more personal and sensuous expression.
