Dahl Jensen ballerina with mirror figurine in porcelain - 2nd sorting with crack on right arm

This Dahl Jensen figurine depicts a young ballerina with a mirror, captured in a quiet and concentrated moment. She kneels lightly with one leg bent beneath her, while holding the mirror forward in front of her and looking into it with a thoughtful expression. The motif exudes ballet, practice and immersion, and the figurine has that special calm which makes classic porcelain figurines so atmospheric in the interior.

The ballerina's white dress is modeled with beautiful, undulating folds that give movement and life to the figurine. The light blue ribbon around the waist and in the hair creates a fine contrast to the soft shades in the face, hair and hands. The mirror emphasizes the story of the world of dance and makes the figurine ideal for collectors of ballerina figurines, child figurines and classic Danish porcelain.

The figurine is from Dahl Jensen and is connected to the Danish tradition of naturalistic porcelain figurines with great attention to posture, facial expression and everyday poetic motifs. Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for precisely this type of figurative art, where human moments are conveyed with warmth and precision. As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also contains that special charm that comes with older quality craftsmanship created to be preserved and appreciated through generations.

This specific figurine is sold as 2nd sorting, and it has a crack on the right arm. For many collectors and interior enthusiasts, it can still be an attractive opportunity to get a decorative Dahl Jensen figurine with character and history. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of porcelain figurines with children, dance or scenic motifs.
