Dahl Jensen Fanø girl figurine no. 1325 waving girl in folk costume

Dahl Jensen figurine no. 1325 depicts a waving Fanø girl in national costume, captured in a moment with life, movement and presence. The figurine stands upright with her arm raised and a white cloth in her hand, as if she is welcoming someone or sending a farewell with warmth and dignity. It is a porcelain figurine with a strong narrative, where Danish folk culture and classical figurative art meet in a motif that is easy to love.

The Fanø girl's costume is rendered with many fine details. The dark blue bodice is combined with a pink pleated skirt and a headscarf in blue and light green shades, which continues down over the shoulders. The small buttons, the pattern at the cuffs and the figurine's slightly turned posture give the model character and make it interesting to view from several angles. The raised arm creates height and movement, while the expression of the face adds a calm and welcoming impression to the figurine.

The artist behind it is Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, and his figurines in particular are known and appreciated by collectors for their assured formal language and sense of human motifs. A figurine like this appeals both to collectors of Dahl Jensen porcelain figurines, to those who are fond of figurines in folk costume, and to everyone who wants a piece of Danish cultural history in the décor. It works beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection with other porcelain figurines and national costumes.

A Fanø girl figurine like this is also an obvious gift idea for anyone interested in Danish design, Danish cultural heritage or classic collector figurines. The motif has personality and history, and that makes the figurine more than decoration alone. Here you get a Dahl Jensen figurine that unites tradition, craftsmanship and a motif with a clear identity.
