Royal Copenhagen baby elephant stoneware figurine no. 240 or 22740

Royal Copenhagen baby elephant in stoneware is a charming animal figurine with a calm, lively expression and a shape that captures the young elephant's soft movements. The figurine sits with slightly spread legs and a raised trunk, which gives it a presence that makes it decorative both on its own and together with other animal figurines. The dark glaze with warm, light nuances highlights the modeling and gives the figurine depth from all angles.

According to the available product information, the figurine is produced by Royal Copenhagen in stoneware and designed by John Galster. The item is associated with both number 240 and the older number 22740, which are important search terms for collectors and for customers looking for this particular model. The motif is also referred to online as a baby elephant, which matches the figurine's young, soft, and playful appearance well.

It is a figurine that fits beautifully into an interior with Danish design, ceramics, and classic collectibles. The organic shape and the warm stoneware glaze make it suitable on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a personal gift for someone who is fond of elephants, Royal Copenhagen, or older decorative art with character. When choosing a figurine like this, one also gets the pleasure of passing on a quality product with history and letting fine craftsmanship live on in a modern home.

The existing description mentions no dimensions, and therefore the focus here is on the figurine's documented model numbers, manufacturer, and material. Based on the pictures, the elephant appears seated with clearly modeled folds at the trunk and legs, small light details at the feet and ears, as well as a friendly facial expression that gives the figurine personality without seeming heavy. This makes it ideal for both collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are simply looking for a decorative elephant figurine in stoneware.
