Royal Copenhagen mink figurine 4654 brown - Jeanne Grut

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 4654 depicts a mink in a low, tense and attentive moment. Jeanne Grut has captured the animal's character with a natural posture, where the long body, the small paws and the curved tail give the figurine life and direction. The glossy glaze and the soft transitions in the brown and greyish shades emphasise the calm, true-to-nature expression, which makes the porcelain figurine both decorative and collectible.

It is precisely the observant and lively modelling that makes this Royal Copenhagen mink special. The figurine has a fine interplay between movement and calm, and the low stance gives the motif presence that one notices, whether it stands in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a larger collection of animal figurines in porcelain. The underglaze decoration gives the surface depth and a classic expression, which suits both older and more modern interiors well.

A porcelain figurine like this appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and to those who are fond of Danish design with motifs from the animal world. It also works well as a gift idea for someone who appreciates classic porcelain, nature motifs and figurines with personality. Older porcelain figurines like this are at the same time a beautiful choice for those who would like to decorate with things that have already proven their durability and can still create joy for many years to come.
