Royal Copenhagen bear figurine 3014 sitting brown bear

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 3014 is a characterful bear figurine with a warm, brownish expression and a calm, present appearance. The figurine depicts a sitting bear, with the front paws raised up in front of the snout, and that very pose gives the motif life and personality. The soft glaze and the rounded shapes emphasize the bear's weight, while the face is modeled with a concentrated and almost thoughtful expression.

The figurine is designed by Knud Kyhn, who is known for his animal figurines with a strong sense of form, volume and movement. Here this is clearly expressed in the compact body, the pronounced cheeks, the small ears and the natural sitting position. The brown underglaze gives the figurine depth and interacts beautifully with the light, so that the surface appears lively from every angle.

A Royal Copenhagen bear figurine like this fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors. It works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a desk, where it adds warmth, history and a personal touch to the home. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who are fond of Danish design with animal motifs, figurine 3014 is an obvious choice.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they are created with an eye for both craftsmanship and durability. That makes them a meaningful part of the interior today and a beautiful example of how design with history can still be used and appreciated in a modern home. The figurine is also an obvious gift idea for collectors or for the person who appreciates porcelain figurines with character.
