Royal Copenhagen football player figurine no. 4989 John Galster

This Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 4989 depicts a football player in a moment full of concentration and movement. The young boy stands with the ball close to his foot, ready for the next move, and the figurine finely captures the balance, focus, and tension that characterize football. It is a sports figurine with a lively expression, where pose and posture make the motif natural and recognizable.

The figurine is designed as a boy with short hair, a white shirt, blue shorts, white knee socks with blue details, and dark football boots. The ball and the round base support the motif in a simple and calm way, so that attention is focused on the movement itself. The colors are classic and easy to place in the decor, whether the figurine is to stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or together with other porcelain figurines with children, sports, or everyday motifs.

John Galster has created a figurine that appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen and to everyone who takes pleasure in sports motifs in porcelain. It is well suited as a gift for someone interested in football, for the collector of children's figurines, or as a personal feature in the home, where it adds narrative and character. The motif has an immediate charm, but also a timeless quality, which makes the figurine interesting far beyond the sports reference itself.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also contains the special value that lies in preserving fine craftsmanship and design with history. Used figurines like this make it possible to decorate more personally and sustainably, because they are given new life in a modern home instead of being replaced by new production. This makes it an obvious choice for anyone seeking original Danish porcelain with both soul and collector's value.
