Royal Copenhagen Mini Summer and Winter Children football player no. 268

This Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 268 depicts a little football player in the middle of play, ready by the ball with an open, lively body language. The motif captures the light and recognizable atmosphere of childhood, movement, and joy of play, which makes the figurine charming both for collectors and for those who are fond of classic porcelain figurines with a story.

The boy is modeled in a relaxed posture with one arm slightly forward and the football placed by his feet. The blue shorts, the light shirt with blue details, and the soft facial features give the figurine a calm and friendly expression. It is precisely the combination of sport, everyday motif, and finely crafted porcelain that makes this football figurine an obvious choice for both Royal Copenhagen collectors and those seeking a figurine with children, play, and movement as its motif.

The figurine is part of the Mini Summer and Winter Children series, which is known for its small child figurines, each with its own activity and atmosphere. Here you get a figurine that both works beautifully on its own and fits naturally together with the other figurines in the series. For collectors, it can be an important part of a complete collection, while as a single figurine it adds personality to a shelf, display cabinet, or a small arrangement with Danish design and porcelain art.

The design was created by Sven Vestergaard, and the figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze. This gives it the smooth surface and classic expression that many associate with Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurines. Older figurines like this one also have a special appeal, because they carry quality craftsmanship forward into new homes and remind us of the joy of preserving and using things that are made to last.

It is also a nice gift idea for football enthusiasts, for the collector of child figurines, or for the one who appreciates Danish porcelain with a motif of children and leisure life.
