Royal Copenhagen Mini Summer and Winter Children golfer no. 267

This Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 267 shows a little golfer from the Mini Summer and Winter Children series, captured in a moment just before or after the stroke. The figurine has a lively and recognizable expression with a red cap, blue knee-length trousers, white clothing and a golf club in hand, while the golf ball lies ready at the feet. Over the shoulder, the child carries a white golf bag with clubs, which gives the figurine both movement and narrative.

Sven Vestergaard has created a porcelain figurine with an eye for the small scenes of everyday life and the activities of childhood. The motif makes the figurine ideal for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, for golf enthusiasts and for everyone who loves classic child figurines with personality. The fine underglaze provides calm, clear colors and the characteristic surface that many associate with Danish porcelain art.

As part of the Mini Summer and Winter Children series, this golfer also has a special place for collectors. The series contains a total of 12 children, and for that very reason the figurine is interesting both as a standalone porcelain figurine and as part of a larger collection. It can complement an existing series, be a missing figurine in the row or stand alone as a small story about sport, leisure and childhood.

Older porcelain figurines like this have their own charm because they are created to be kept, used and appreciated for many years. They add history and personality to the home and are at the same time a beautiful choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship and the joy of letting quality design live on. The figurine fits nicely in a display cabinet collection, on a shelf with other Royal Copenhagen figurines or as a gift for a golfer and collector with an eye for Danish design.
