The motif of the 1936 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate is Roskilde Cathedral,si- tuated to the west of Copenhagen. This church is a French inspired church, in- spired by Gothic brick architecture. In 1995 Roskilde Cathedral was added to UNESCO's list of the world's most precious assets,an honour it shares with Kronborg Castle and with Jelling. Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate 1936 was only produced in 1936.
