1983 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Kaj Lange, has the title Merry Christmas. Royal Copenhagen's Christmas plate from 1983 depicts Christmas eve.This plate completes the story of Christmas traditions strated with the 1979 plate. Christmas Eve is the evening where celebrations culminate in Danish homes. The members of the family have come together. Christmas dinner has come to an end. Mira- colously the youngest children again happened to find the almond in the rice pudding, which entitles them to an extra gift, and the family holding hands, is now walking round the tree singing the well-known Christmas carols. Yet another Climax remains: the handing out of the gifts, placed under the tree. As previously a Christmas cup and saucer is also made with the same motif as the plate.
