Bing & Grøndahl figure child with dough bowl and cat no. 2305

This Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 2305 depicts a quiet and everyday moment with a child sitting bent over a bowl and working with a large, risen dough, while a cat curiously follows along beside it. The motif has a warm and homely atmosphere, where the simple scene tells of kitchen life, presence, and the small moments that make older porcelain figures so charming to collect and decorate with.

The figure is made of porcelain with underglaze and has a calm, classic color expression. The child is rendered in blue shades, while the bowl and the light details create a fine balance in the motif. The cat beside adds life and movement to the figure, and it is precisely the interplay between child, dough bowl, and animal that makes the model particularly atmospheric. It is a Bing & Grøndahl figure that appeals both to collectors of B&G figures and to those who are fond of porcelain figures with story and personality.

As a vintage porcelain figure, this is also a beautiful example of fine craftsmanship that deserves to be preserved and used further. Older porcelain figures add soul and history to the home and are a sustainable choice for you who wish to decorate with quality objects rather than new production. The figure can stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or together with other Bing & Grøndahl figures with children, animals, and everyday motifs.

It is also ideal as a gift for a collector or for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain and classic figures with a calm, narrative expression.
