We buy Danish porcelain, ceramics and glass art – but not entire estates
At DPH Trading, we have built a large and specialized stock over more than 50 years through buying porcelain, ceramics, glass and other collectibles – especially from Royal Copenhagen, Bing & Groendahl, Georg Jensen and Bjoern Wiinblad.
We do not buy entire estates and also do not offer clearance or cleanout services. But we are happy to buy larger batches of items we are in demand for – and we offer a total price if it all fits into our range.
It is often worthwhile to sell the valuable items separately rather than letting everything go in a general estate purchase. Most buyers do not assess the value of individual items – we do. And therefore, you will often get more with us if you have a relevant batch of e.g. porcelain figurines, vases or collectibles.
What do we typically buy – and when is it valuable?
It can be difficult to say generally what is valuable, but we primarily buy items in the following categories – and preferably in slightly larger quantities:
- Figurines – especially from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Groendahl. Especially rare, large or seasonal ones such as Santa Clauses and Easter eggs have great value.
- Porcelain vases and glass art – including from Holmegaard, Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Groendahl.
- Georg Jensen – e.g. Christmas decorations, ornaments, mobiles, candle holders and Easter eggs, etc.
- Bjoern Wiinblad – figurines, bowls, jugs, candlesticks and decorative art from his workshop and Nymølle. Can be Eva Head, seasonal figurines, Rider with light, as well as butter boards, flowerpots, vases, etc.
- Retro ceramics and faience – e.g. from Soeholm, Aluminia, Nymoelle etc.
- Table and wall lamps – e.g. Holmegaard lamps, Le Klint table lamps, Heiberg lamps, Aluminia lamps and Asmussen droplet lamps.
- Coffee and dinner sets – whole or parts of sets such as Blue Fluted, Blue Flower, Empire, Seagull with gold, Wiberg and Jette Frölich Christmas service.
- Christmas plates – from Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Groendahl, but only larger, preferably complete collections.
For Royal Copenhagen Christmas plates we only buy larger collections starting before 1960, or if the series also includes a number of newer issues from after 2010.
For Bing & Groendahl we only buy collections starting before 1950 and ideally including very old years before 1910, or the newest from 2010 onward. – However, we already have a lot of B&G plates in stock, so our purchase prices are relatively low.
How to proceed
If you have a larger batch of items you are considering selling, DPH Trading offers two ways to sell – choose the one that suits you best and we will get back to you quickly to let you know if we're interested and provide you with a total price if we are.
1. Send an email (recommended)
Send a short email to info@dph‑trading.dk with:

- Optionally, a few photos compressed to a small file size
We typically provide a written total offer – valid for 14 days, subject to errors.

You can call to make an appointment in our store in Odense.
Call us at (+45) 66 18 95 95 during our opening hours.
We will give you an offer immediately, and for larger batches you will be asked to send a detailed email afterwards.

We do not collect, and all items must be delivered to us in Odense.
Selling to DPH? Here's what international sellers need to know
If you're dealing with items from an estate and wondering what might be worth selling, you're not alone. Many search for estate purchases, clear-outs or valuations, but you will almost always get a better outcome by selling valuable pieces individually – to professionals who know what they’re looking at.
At DPH Trading, we don’t offer an “all or nothing” solution. Instead, we make a qualified offer for the items we know have value – which often makes far more sense than letting everything go for a low, fixed price.
We welcome inquiries, also from abroad – but please be aware that distance, shipping costs, customs duties, and bank fees may reduce the value of selling to us from outside Denmark. If that is the case, we’ll let you know.
We only buy factory first quality items with no flaws or damage, unless otherwise stated.
You’re welcome to send us an email at [email protected]. You can also use the inquiry form by adding your items to the basket and submitting it through our website.
Don't miss free tips and a lot of great sales
