At Bjoern Wiinblad’s workshop, several pitchers have been designed, mainly for decorative use. Bjoern Wiinblad is synonymous with lively design, and his figurines and pitchers are well known worldwide.
Holmegaard Pitchers, Carafes, and Christmas Bottles
Holmegaard has produced a wide variety of glass series including wine glasses, water glasses, and matching carafes. There have been countless series, most of which are unfortunately no longer in production. Around 2008, the Holmegaard factory experienced serious challenges and was taken over by Rosendahl, who fortunately continued the product line and high quality.
Holmegaard Gluck Bottle
The Holmegaard gluck bottle is a beloved Danish design classic, known for its distinctive shape and the gurgling sound it makes when pouring. It was first produced in 1840 and today exists in several colors and two different sizes.

Over the years, Holmegaard has created a wide and varied range of glass carafes and pitchers – many are no longer in production, but we still have several models in stock.

Holmegaard Christmas Bottles
The popular Christmas bottles from Holmegaard began in 1981, and a new bottle has been released each year since. Holmegaard Christmas bottles are synonymous with Jette Frölich, who has decorated them from the start. She is renowned for her paper-cut Christmas designs, beautifully transferred onto glass. Each bottle includes a subtle line marking how many days remain until Christmas – making the bottle a perfect advent calendar for adults and an ideal Christmas gift.
The Holmegaard Christmas bottle is a major collector’s item in Denmark and abroad. The decorations come in classic Christmas colors – red, green, gold, and silver – and every bottle has different designs on each side, so you’ll always see a beautiful motif no matter the angle. This mirroring effect also adds extra depth to the bottle.
Each year, Holmegaard also releases matching Christmas schnapps glasses to accompany the Christmas bottles.
