Royal Copenhagen otter figurine no. 172 - white porcelain 5 cm

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 172 depicts a small otter in a calm, introspective moment. It sits curled up with its long tail curved around the body, while the head is slightly bent forward. This gives the figurine a lively and natural expression, even though the design language is simple and finely balanced. The white glaze emphasizes the soft lines and allows the light to work beautifully across the surface, so that the figurine's shape stands out clearly from all angles.

It is precisely the simple modeling that makes this otter figurine so decorative. The small paws, the rounded body and the characteristic head give the motif personality without seeming overdone. As a porcelain figurine, it fits well into a collection of Royal Copenhagen animal figurines, but it also works well on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a small detail in the home decor, where classic Danish design and porcelain are allowed to speak for themselves.

A smaller figurine like this has a special charm. It is easy to place, easy to combine with other white porcelain figurines and ideal as a gift for collectors or for someone who is fond of animals, Danish porcelain and timeless interior details. At the same time, older porcelain figurines are a beautiful choice for you who appreciate giving fine craftsmanship new life. Design with history and soul adds personality to the home and is a sustainable alternative to new production.

This Royal Copenhagen otter figurine is also a fine example of how small animal figurines can create a sense of presence in the decor. The white underglaze and the compact size make it easy to use together with both classic porcelain, modern Nordic decor and other collectibles.
