Royal Copenhagen polar bear cub figurine no. 21434 or 234 Knud Kyhn 6 cm

Royal Copenhagen polar bear cub figurine no. 21434/234 is a charming little animal figurine with lots of life in its form. Knud Kyhn has captured the cub's playful body language in a motif where it is lying on its back and biting its paw. The white glaze emphasizes the figurine's soft lines and gives a clean, calm expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern collections of Danish design and porcelain figurines.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figurines with presence and character, and this is clearly felt here. The compact form makes the figurine decorative from every angle, and the small details in the head, paws, and curved body give the motif personality. As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, it also has that special appeal that many collectors seek: Danish design, a recognizable animal motif, and a size that makes it easy to place in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a larger arrangement with bear figurines and other animal sculptures.

A figurine like this is also a fine choice for those who appreciate older porcelain with history and soul. Vintage figurines from Royal Copenhagen are made to last, and they add something personal to the home that new production can rarely replace. The little polar bear cub can stand alone as a discreet eye-catcher or be combined with other figurines in white shades, where its rounded form and calm color create balance in the interior. It is an obvious gift for the collector, for the design enthusiast, or for someone who has a fondness for Nordic animal motifs.
