Royal Copenhagen polar bear cub no. 245 or 22745 - Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen polar bear cub no. 245 or 22745 is a charming porcelain figurine with plenty of life in its form. The figurine shows a bear cub lying on its back with its paws raised, as if it is playing or stretching. The white glaze emphasizes the soft lines and the rounded shapes, while the nose and mouth are marked darker and give the motif extra character.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figures, and here his sure eye for both anatomy and movement is seen in a small format. The figurine has a calm, sculptural expression, but at the same time an immediate warmth that makes it easy to like. It fits beautifully among other Royal Copenhagen figures, but also works well alone on a shelf, in a bookcase, or as a small collector's item with personality.

As an older Danish design figurine, it also contains the special joy that lies in choosing porcelain with history. It is precisely such smaller art and utility objects that add soul to the home and make the décor more personal. A figurine like this is ideal for the collector of Royal Copenhagen, for you who appreciate Knud Kyhn's animal motifs, or as a gift for someone who appreciates classic Danish porcelain and timeless design language.

The white porcelain figurine is easy to place in both modern and more classic homes. It looks good together with other animal figures, but also as a small, simple contrast to books, wood, and glass in the décor. The motif of the polar bear cub also makes it particularly suitable as a gift idea for both collectors and design enthusiasts.
