Royal Copenhagen kitten no. 305 standing striped cat

Royal Copenhagen kitten no. 305 is a charming cat figurine with a lively and natural expression. The standing kitten is modelled mid-step with raised tail, alert gaze and slightly turned head, giving the figure a lovely sense of movement. The grey stripes, the light muzzle and the white paws emphasise the classic cat motif and make the figure a decorative feature for both cat lovers and collectors of Danish porcelain.

The figure is designed by Allan Therkelsen and made in porcelain with underglaze, which gives it the soft colour transitions and the smooth, glossy surface that suits Royal Copenhagen so well. The expression is calm and observant, and it is precisely that combination of lifelike form and stylised simplicity that makes the cat figurine easy to place in the home. It works beautifully alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other animal figures.

A porcelain figurine like this also has the special quality that it brings personality into the décor without seeming heavy. The motif appeals both to those who love cats and to those who appreciate Danish design and figures with character. As a gift idea, it is ideal for a cat friend, a collector or a recipient who appreciates small art objects with warmth and presence.

Older porcelain figurines like this are at the same time a good example of how fine craftsmanship can gain new life in a modern home. When you choose a figure with history and quality, you get not just decoration, but also a piece of design tradition that can still create joy for many years to come.
