Royal Copenhagen stoneware bear no. 20179 by Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen stoneware bear no. 20179 by Knud Kyhn is a striking animal figure with lots of character. The figure depicts a bear in a standing posture with a turned head and open mouth, making the expression seem lively and almost growling. The warm brownish, beige and dark shades give the surface depth and variation, and emphasize the robust form that makes Knud Kyhn's animal figures so sought-after among collectors of Danish design and ceramics.

Knud Kyhn is known for his lifelike and at the same time strongly stylized animal figures, and this bear is a fine example of exactly that. The body is modeled with weight and volume, while the head and paws are shaped with clear details that give the figure personality. It is a decorative Royal Copenhagen figure that fits equally well in a classic collection and in a modern interior, where it can stand alone on a shelf, in a bookcase or on a side table.

A stoneware figure like this also has the special charm that only older design objects acquire over time. Here you get not just a bear figure, but a piece of Danish design history, created by a recognized artist and made in a material that is built to last. That makes it ideal for those who appreciate decorative art and collectibles with soul, or who are looking for a gift for someone who loves Royal Copenhagen, Knud Kyhn or Nordic animal figures.

The bear is easy to combine with other ceramic figures, stoneware or natural materials in the interior. The earthy colors make it easy to place, and the characterful expression adds warmth, history and personality to the room. A figure like this is also a sustainable choice, because beautiful craftsmanship and good design deserve to be preserved and used through generations.
