Royal Copenhagen standing bear stoneware figurine no. 20548

Royal Copenhagen standing bear stoneware figurine no. 20548 is a characterful animal figurine with a lively and expressive look. The figurine shows two bears standing facing each other on a shared base, as if they are playing, dancing, or mirroring each other's movements. This gives the figurine a rare dynamism and makes it a decorative collector's item that draws attention from several angles.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figurines with a strong sense of form and movement, and this is clearly felt here. The two bears are modelled with full bodies, pronounced paws, and a fine interplay between the raised forelegs and the slightly forward-bent heads. The glaze plays beautifully in shades of light, brownish, and greenish tones, which emphasize the figurine's organic surface and give the stoneware depth and life.

As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, this model has both decorative value and collector interest. It fits well in an interior where one wants ceramics and design with personality, and it works beautifully both alone and together with other animal figurines or stoneware objects. It is precisely older design objects like this that add soul and history to the home, while also being a sustainable choice for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship made to last.

This bear figurine is ideal for the collector of Knud Kyhn, Royal Copenhagen stoneware, or Danish animal figurines, but it is also a gift idea for someone who loves Nordic design and crafts with character. The motif of the two standing bears makes the model more narrative than many single animal figurines and gives it a special presence in the room.
