Bing & Grøndahl Cocker Spaniel figurine no. 2172 - Svend Jespersen

This porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl depicts a standing cocker spaniel with a calm, attentive, and very recognizable expression. The small dog figurine is modeled with hanging ears, a soft muzzle, a short tail, and an upright, natural posture that brings the motif to life. The white porcelain body is decorated with warm brown areas and spots that highlight the breed's character and make the figurine a fine choice for both dog lovers and collectors of classic animal figurines.

Svend Jespersen is known for his porcelain animal figurines, where anatomy, movement, and temperament come together in perfect harmony. Here he has created a cocker spaniel with a calm and friendly appearance that suits Bing & Grøndahl's design language beautifully. The underglaze decoration provides a smooth, glossy surface and emphasizes the soft transitions between the white and brown areas. The result is a porcelain dog figurine that appears both lively and harmonious.

A figurine like this is ideal in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection of Danish porcelain figurines and animal motifs. It can also be a personal gift for someone who is fond of spaniels, dog figurines, or classic Danish porcelain. Older porcelain figurines have a special ability to add warmth, history, and personality to the home, and at the same time they are a sustainable choice when beautiful craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new surroundings.

For collectors, figurine number 2172 is an important detail, and for the interior enthusiast, it is a charming porcelain dog with a timeless expression. It is a figurine that unites Danish design tradition, fine craftsmanship, and the love of dog motifs in one and the same piece of porcelain.
