Dachshund figurine no. 1755 from Bing & Grøndahl

This dachshund figurine no. 1755 from Bing & Grøndahl is a classic dog figurine in porcelain with a calm and natural expression. The figurine depicts a seated dachshund with long, soft ears, lowered head and the characteristic elongated body shape that makes the breed so easily recognizable. The warm brownish underglaze highlights the soft forms and gives the figurine a lively surface with fine depth and gloss.

The model is designed by Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen, who is known for his assured depictions of animals and his ability to give porcelain figurines presence and personality. Here the expression is subdued and credible, with focus on the dog's calm posture and the rounded lines, which suit the motif particularly well. It is precisely the type of figurine that appeals both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and to you who appreciate Danish porcelain with character.

A porcelain figurine like this fits beautifully in both a display cabinet, on a shelf and on a smaller side table, where it can stand alone or be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain. For many, dog figurines are also associated with memories, homeliness and the joy of surrounding oneself with things that have history and soul. Older designs like this are created to last, and that makes the figurine a fine choice for you who appreciate good craftsmanship and a more sustainable alternative to new production.

The dachshund figurine is at the same time an obvious gift idea for the dog lover, the collector or the one who appreciates Danish design and classic porcelain figurines. The discreet color and the timeless design language make it easy to fit into many types of interior decor.
