Bing & Grøndahl spaniel dog figurine no. 2095 by Lauritz Jensen

Bing & Grøndahl spaniel dog figurine no. 2095 by Lauritz Jensen is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm, lifelike expression. The figurine depicts a standing spaniel with long hanging ears, a short tail and an attentive gaze, which gives the motif presence and personality. The soft brown areas against the white glaze highlight the dog's characteristic markings and make the figurine easily recognizable for both collectors of dog figurines and those who are fond of older Danish porcelain.

Lauritz Jensen is known for his animal figurines, and right here a confident understanding of the animal's proportions and posture is evident. The spaniel stands upright and balanced with defined paws, full ears and a harmonious body shape, which gives the figurine a lively character without seeming overworked. The underglaze decoration supports the soft transitions in the fur's colors and contributes to the cohesive expression for which Bing & Grøndahl is appreciated.

This porcelain figurine fits beautifully in a display cabinet collection, on a shelf or as part of an interior with classic Danish design and decorative art. It is also an obvious gift for a dog lover or collector who appreciates porcelain figurines with history and good craftsmanship. As a vintage dog figurine, it has a special charm because it combines decorative value with the joy of preserving quality objects that are created to last and be appreciated through generations.

The spaniel figurine is easy to combine with other animal figurines in porcelain, but it also has enough strength to stand alone. The calm posture and the warm color tones make it a fine feature in both a modern and more traditional home, where it adds personality and a discreet story about Danish figurative art.
