Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2061 retrieving spaniel

This dog figurine from Bing & Grøndahl captures a classic hunting motif with calm and presence. The retrieving spaniel stands with the bird in its mouth, alert in its gaze and with a natural posture that gives the figurine life from every angle. It is a porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Danish porcelain and to dog lovers who appreciate motifs with character and storytelling.

The figurine is designed by Lauritz Jensen and executed in underglaze, which emphasizes the soft transitions in the glaze and the fine details in the fur. In the pictures it is seen in white and brown shades with long ears, marked fur structure and a lifelike bird in its mouth. Precisely the combination of the calm expression, the working hunting dog and Bing & Grøndahl's confident design language makes the model interesting as both a decorative figurine and a collector's item.

A dog figurine like this fits beautifully in an interior with a focus on Danish design, porcelain and personal finds with history. It can stand alone on a shelf, on a desk or in a display cabinet, but it is also ideal to combine with other animal figurines in porcelain. For many, it will be an obvious gift idea for the hunter, the dog lover or the collector of Bing & Grøndahl figurines.

Older porcelain figurines have a special ability to add soul and personality to the home. When choosing a piece like this, you get not just a decorative figurine, but also a piece of Danish design tradition, created to be appreciated and preserved for many years to come.
