Royal Copenhagen cat figurine no. 680 Duchess 8 cm

Royal Copenhagen cat figurine no. 680 Duchess is a charming porcelain figurine with a calm and attentive expression. The cat sits upright with its tail wrapped around its body, while the head is slightly tilted and the gaze lifted upward. This gives the figurine life and personality and makes it a decorative cat figurine that immediately attracts attention in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of a collection of Danish porcelain figurines.

The colors are kept in soft shades of gray and white, which suit the figurine's simple shape very nicely. The light chest, muzzle, and paws stand in beautiful contrast to the darker back and head markings, and it is precisely this calm play of colors that helps emphasize Royal Copenhagen's confident design language. The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and belongs to Royal Copenhagen's mini-cat series, where each cat has its own name and expression. According to the existing product text, this figurine is 1 of a series of 12 cats and executed in underglaze.

Duchess is a good choice for those who appreciate cat figurines in porcelain, Danish design, and smaller collector's items with character. The compact size makes it easy to place, both alone and together with other figurines in the same series. As a gift idea, it is also well suited to the cat lover or collector who appreciates classic Royal Copenhagen porcelain with a motif that is at once natural, warm, and decorative.

Older porcelain figurines like this one often have a special ability to create atmosphere in the home. They bring history, craftsmanship, and personality into the décor and are at the same time a beautiful example of how quality design can live on and bring joy in new surroundings.
