Royal Copenhagen cat figurine 683 Hannibal and Hager

Royal Copenhagen cat figurine no. 683, Hannibal and Hager, is a charming porcelain figurine with a calm and playful expression. The figurine shows two cats close together in a relaxed, almost narrative composition, where the light cat rests over the grey one. This gives the figurine presence and warmth and makes it an obvious choice for both cat lovers and collectors of classic Danish animal figurines.

Allan Therkelsen has created the motif with a sure sense of the cat's body language and the small differences in form and attitude that bring the figurine to life. The soft lines, the rounded shapes and the subdued grey and white shades emphasize the calm expression, while the fine facial features and the blue eyes add personality. The smooth glaze highlights the figurine's organic shapes and makes it beautiful to look at from several angles.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine belongs among the sought-after cat figurines, which function both as decorative applied art and as a collector's item. It fits nicely in a bookcase, on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of an arrangement with other animal figurines in porcelain. As an older design figurine, it also contains the special joy that lies in choosing quality objects with history and giving them a place in a modern home. It is precisely the type of porcelain figurine that adds personality, calm and a touch of Danish design tradition to the interior.

Hannibal and Hager are also an obvious gift idea for someone who loves cats, Royal Copenhagen or classic figurines in porcelain. The narrative structure and the intimate motif make the figurine easy to love and easy to combine with both romantic, Nordic and more classic interior design.
