Royal Copenhagen cat figurine Princess no. 687 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen cat figurine Princess no. 687 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and concentrated expression, which makes it easy to notice in the decor. The sitting cat is modelled with a bent head, upright body and the tail laid softly around the body, which gives the figurine a fine balance between simplicity and character. The light grey shades, the glossy glaze and the discreet details around the face, ears and paws emphasise the quiet, observant cat life that Allan Therkelsen is good at capturing.

The figurine belongs to Royal Copenhagen's mini cat series and is figurine number 687. According to the existing product text, it is one of a total of 12 cat figurines in the series, designed by Allan Therkelsen, and underglaze technique has been used. This makes Princess interesting both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for cat lovers who want a porcelain figurine with a more simple and natural expression. It works beautifully alone on a shelf, in a bookcase or on a smaller table, but it can also be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain to create a personal collection with Danish design tradition.

A figurine like this also has the special charm that older porcelain figurines often bring with them. It is a piece of decorative art with history, created to last and to be appreciated through many years. That is exactly why vintage porcelain is a beautiful and sustainable choice when you want to decorate with things that have soul, quality and lasting value. Princess is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, for the dedicated cat friend or for anyone who is fond of Royal Copenhagen porcelain.
