Mongrel Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 745

Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 745 with the title "Mongrel" is a charming porcelain figurine that captures the playful and lively expression that makes dog figurines from Royal Copenhagen so sought after. The figurine shows three puppies gathered in a basket, where the soft shapes and the warm brown-white shades give the motif a calm, homely and narrative expression.

Allan Therkelsen has with a sure hand created a dog figurine that balances between lifelike details and a slightly humorous glint. One puppy rests its head over the edge of the basket, another looks out to the side, while the third rises behind the other two. The dangling paw and the small facial expressions give the figurine plenty of personality and make it lively to look at from several angles.

This porcelain figurine belongs to Royal Copenhagen's series of mini dogs and is 1 of a series of 12 puppies. This makes it ideal both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for you who want a smaller figurine with motif, warmth and character. The underglaze technique emphasizes the smooth surface and the fine color transitions that suit the motif well.

"Mongrel" fits beautifully in a bookcase, on a chest of drawers or as part of a collection of animal figurines and classic Danish porcelain. It is also an ideal gift idea for the dog lover or for the collector who appreciates Royal Copenhagen, Allan Therkelsen and small figurines with narrative and presence.
