Royal Copenhagen Else with her mother in armchair figurine no. 670

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 670, Else with her mother in armchair, is a porcelain figurine with a warm and recognizable story of closeness, calm, and everyday life. The motif shows a mother seated in an armchair with the child close to her, and it is precisely this intimate arrangement that gives the figurine a quiet, human expression, which has made the Else and Jens figurines some of the most beloved children's figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

The figurine is designed by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for her lively and sensitive porcelain figurines. Here the composition is simple and strong: the child's resting body, the mother's protective arm, and the soft shape of the armchair create a scene that exudes care. The clear blue details in the clothing stand beautifully against the light surfaces and emphasize the classic expression that characterizes many Royal Copenhagen figurines.

Else with her mother in armchair belongs to the famous series of Else and Jens figurines, which still has great appeal among collectors of Danish porcelain and classic children's figurines. The figurine is made of porcelain and decorated in underglaze, which contributes to the soft sheen and the durable surface. It is a figurine that appeals both to the collector and to the one who wants a piece of Danish design history with soul and character.

In the interior, this Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurine works beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a personal collection of figurines with family and childhood motifs. It is also an obvious gift idea for a mother, for a christening, or for someone who is fond of classic Danish porcelain with story and feeling. Older figurines like this not only carry history with them, but also give new life to timeless craftsmanship in the modern home.
