Royal Copenhagen Else is waiting figurine no. 676 with teddy bear

Else is waiting is a classic Royal Copenhagen figurine that captures a quiet and recognizable moment from the world of childhood. The little girl stands with her gaze directed forward, while she shields her eyes with her hand, as if she is looking out for someone in the distance. In the other hand she holds her teddy bear, and it is precisely this that gives the figurine a warm story of expectation, security and presence. It is a porcelain figurine with a motif that speaks directly to collectors of child figurines and to you who are fond of figurines with personality and story.

The figurine is made of porcelain and decorated with underglaze, which supports the calm and durable expression that characterizes many Royal Copenhagen figurines. In the picture Else is seen in a blue dress with light details, light hair and the characteristic teddy bear beside her. The pose is simple, yet lively, and it makes the figurine decorative both on its own and together with other Else and Jens figurines. The motif fits beautifully into a collection of porcelain figurines with children, but also works well as a small solitary figurine in a bookcase, display cabinet or on a shelf, where the fine details are allowed to come into their own.

The artist behind it is Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for figurines with human warmth and a sure eye for the small scenes of everyday life. This makes Else is waiting figurine no. 676 interesting both as a design object and as a collector's figurine. Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm, because they bring history, craftsmanship and durability into the home. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to give quality design new life and let it continue to create joy in modern interiors.

Else is waiting is also an obvious gift idea for the one who collects Royal Copenhagen child figurines, or for someone who appreciates classic Danish porcelain with soul and story.
