Royal Copenhagen Else with puppy figurine no. 679

Else with puppy is a classic Royal Copenhagen figurine that captures a warm and recognizable moment between child and animal. The figurine shows the little girl Else sitting close with a puppy in her arms while she gently leans her head against it. The motif has the quiet intimacy and everyday poetry that make children's figurines from Royal Copenhagen so sought after among collectors and those who appreciate Danish porcelain art.

This porcelain figurine is part of the series with Else and Jens figurines, created by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger. Her figurines are known for their lively body language and the ability to tell a great deal with a simple posture. Here it is clearly seen in the way Else embraces the dog, with an expression that exudes security, care and childlike familiarity. The blue dress, the light hair and the puppy's soft shapes give the figurine a calm and harmonious expression.

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 679 is made of porcelain and decorated with underglaze, a technique that supports the soft transitions and the fine sheen of the surface. This makes the figurine suitable both as a collector's figurine and as a decorative feature in the home, where it can stand alone or together with other figurines from the Else and Jens series. The motif of girl and dog also makes it an obvious choice for you who collect children's figurines, animal figurines or classic Danish design porcelain.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the interior. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to give new life to quality design that is created to be appreciated through generations. Else with puppy fits well in both a classic collection and in a modern home, where it adds warmth, nostalgia and a touch of Danish design tradition.
