Royal Copenhagen Clara & Peter with rocking horse figurine no. 174

Clara & Peter with rocking horse is a Royal Copenhagen figurine that captures the quiet Christmas joy and the secure atmosphere surrounding the toys and gifts of childhood. The motif shows two children gathered around a rocking horse on a round base, where a small gift and a teddy bear-like stuffed animal help to emphasize the warm story. The figurine has a lively and narrative expression, which makes it ideal as a Christmas figurine, collector's figurine, or as part of a nostalgic display in the home.

The boy sits on the rocking horse in a light blue top, dark blue trousers, and with a small bow at the neck, while the girl stands beside it in a white dress with light pink details and a ponytail. The rocking horse is executed in warm brown shades with green rockers, and the small details on the base give the figurine extra life. The colors and composition create a classic Christmas motif with both movement, presence, and narrative, one that you want to return to year after year.

The figurine is designed by Sven Vestergaard and made by Royal Copenhagen in porcelain with underglaze. This gives it the clear, smooth expression that many collectors and connoisseurs associate with Danish porcelain art and classic Christmas figurines. As figurine no. 174, it is also easy to identify for collectors who are seeking precisely this model for an existing collection of Royal Copenhagen figurines or Christmas figurines with children.

A porcelain figurine like this fits nicely on a shelf, in a display cabinet, on a Christmas table, or as part of a larger arrangement with other winter and Christmas motifs. It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors of Royal Copenhagen, for those who are fond of classic child figurines, or for a home where Christmas decorations are welcome to have history, quality, and a handcrafted character. Older porcelain figurines like this are created to be preserved and enjoyed for many years, and they bring personality and charm into the interior in a way that new production can rarely replace.
