Royal Copenhagen polar bear with cubs figurine no. 354

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 354 depicts a polar bear with two cubs in a present and lively composition, where calm and play meet in the same motif. Allan Therkelsen has modeled the group with a fine sense of the animals' interaction: the adult bear lies securely and protectively, while one cub rests relaxed in front, and the other has lain across its back. This gives the figurine a story of care, family life, and Arctic nature, which makes it remarkable both as a porcelain figurine and as a collector's item.

The white porcelain figurine appears with soft shapes and clearly modeled fur, which is beautifully emphasized by the underglaze. The small dark details at the eyes, nose, and paws give the motif character and make the bears appear both lifelike and expressive. The figurine has a harmonious structure, where the three animals are naturally bound together in one unified form, and it is precisely this calm, close togetherness that makes the motif particularly inviting in the interior.

As a Royal Copenhagen animal figurine, polar bear with cubs fits well into a home where there is an appreciation for classic Danish porcelain, Scandinavian design, and figurines with a nature motif. It looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a side table, where the light can highlight the glaze's glossy surface and the modeled details. It can stand alone as a striking eye-catcher, but also be combined with other porcelain figurines to create a personal arrangement with animals and Nordic atmosphere.

Older porcelain figurines like this bring history and personality into the home and are at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate enduring craftsmanship. Choosing a figurine with quality and character is also a way to let classic design live on and gain new meaning in modern surroundings. Therefore, this polar bear with cubs is also an obvious gift idea for collectors and for everyone who loves porcelain figurines with warmth and storytelling.
