Royal Copenhagen arctic fox with cub figurine 443

Royal Copenhagen figurine 443 depicts an arctic fox with cub in a calm and intimate composition, where mother and cub lie together in the snow. The motif has a fine story of closeness and protection, and the figurine radiates the quiet atmosphere that makes classic animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen sought after among both collectors and those who appreciate porcelain with life and character.

The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen and renders the arctic fox's soft shapes in a natural and convincing way. The adult fox is executed in light, cold shades, while the cub has darker grey tones, which create contrast and give the motif depth. The green eyes and the upright ears add expression, and the undulating base emphasizes the impression of fur and snow in one unified design language. The described underglaze gives the surface a calm, glossy expression and highlights the figurine's details in a classic way.

As a porcelain figurine, this arctic fox fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. It can also stand alone as a decorative feature in the interior, where it adds a Nordic and sensuous expression to the home. For collectors, figurine number 443 is at the same time an important identification when searching for this particular model.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to bring history, craftsmanship and personality into modern homes. That is precisely part of the charm of choosing classic design with soul: you give beautiful craftsmanship new life and get an object that can still create joy for many years to come.
