Bing & Grøndahl charging goat figurine no. 1699 by Dahl-Jensen

This charging goat from Bing & Grøndahl is a characterful animal figurine with a vivid and natural expression. The figurine is modelled by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his convincing depictions of animals, and here he has captured the goat's tense posture in a moment full of energy. The lowered head, the forward-pointing horns and the firm stance give the figurine a sense of movement and determination that makes it remarkable in the collection and in the interior.

The glazed surface in white and light brown shades highlights the form of the figurine in a calm and harmonious way. The colour fields support the natural character of the motif, while the modelling around the legs, neck and head gives the figurine depth and personality. It is precisely the type of classic Danish animal figurine that many collectors seek when they are looking for Bing & Grøndahl figurines with a distinct formal language and strong artistic identity.

As an older figurine, it also contains the special charm that comes with fine craftsmanship created to last for many years. It fits beautifully in a bookcase, a display cabinet or as part of a collection of animal figurines in ceramics and stoneware. A figurine like this adds history, warmth and personality to the home and is at the same time a sustainable choice for you who appreciate design with soul and lasting value.

For collectors of Dahl-Jensen, Bing & Grøndahl and classic animal figurines, figurine no. 1699 is a fine example of the Danish tradition for lifelike animal motifs. It also works well as a gift for someone who is fond of goat motifs, Nordic design and older decorative arts with character.
