Bing & Grøndahl goat figurine no. 1700 - Licking goat

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1700 depicts a licking goat in a vivid and natural moment. The figurine is modelled with its head bent down toward the body, giving the movement a calm, almost everyday expression. This makes it an animal figurine with both personality and presence, and precisely that kind of porcelain figurines are sought after among collectors of classic Danish design and Bing & Grøndahl figurines.

Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for his animal figurines, where anatomy, posture and movement come together in perfect harmony, and this is clearly seen here. The goat is shaped with fine horns, upright legs and a characteristic body posture that gives the figurine dynamism from every angle. The glaze highlights the soft transitions in the fur, and the white and brownish areas emphasize the figurine's natural expression in a simple and effective way.

This Bing & Grøndahl porcelain figurine fits beautifully into a collection of animal figurines, but it also works wonderfully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a decorative detail in the home interior. Older porcelain figurines like this bring history, craftsmanship and character into the home and are at the same time a sustainable choice for those who appreciate things created to last and be preserved.

If you are looking for a Bing & Grøndahl goat, a Dahl Jensen figurine or a classic porcelain figurine with animals, no. 1700 is a fine choice. It combines Danish porcelain tradition with a motif that feels both vivid and timeless.
