Bing & Grøndahl Airedale Terrier dog figurine no. 2030

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2030 depicts an upright and attentive Airedale Terrier, modelled with the characteristic posture, the long legs and the raised tail that give the breed its lively and alert expression. The figurine has a beautiful glaze in warm light brown shades with a darker area over the back and sides, which emphasises the dog's shape and the structure of the coat in a calm and natural way.

It is a porcelain figurine with a classic expression, where the motif and proportions are at the centre. From the side, the slender, well-balanced body is visible, and from the front the figurine takes on a more present character with the pronounced head, the small forward-bent ears and the calm gaze. The underglazed surface gives depth to the colours and the glossy finish that characterises much Danish porcelain from Bing & Grøndahl.

A dog figurine like this is well suited both for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and for those who are fond of animal figurines in porcelain with personality. It can stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of dog figurines and Danish design porcelain. As an older figurine, it also bears the special value that lies in preserving and using quality objects created to last through generations. It gives the home character and is at the same time a beautiful choice for those who appreciate things with history and longevity.

This Bing & Grøndahl terrier figurine is therefore an obvious choice if you are looking for a classic porcelain dog, a collector's figurine with a breed motif or a gift for a dog lover who appreciates Danish porcelain and timeless craftsmanship.
