Bing & Grøndahl The little painter figurine no. 2350

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2350, known as The little painter or Artist painter, is a porcelain figurine with a calm and thoughtful motif. The figurine depicts a young painter engaged in his work, with palette in hand and brush ready, while an open paint box stands by his feet. The motif has a fine story about immersion, creativity and the quiet joy of creating something with the hands.

Vita Thymann has given the figurine a natural and lively expression. The slender posture, the slightly bowed head and the simple movements give the porcelain figurine character, without it seeming forced. The colour scheme is subdued and harmonious with a light upper garment, blue trousers and brown shades on hair, shoes, palette and paint box. This makes the figurine easy to place in the interior, where it adds both personality and a touch of artistic atmosphere.

As a B&G figurine, The little painter belongs among the collectible figurines that appeal both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl porcelain and to those who are fond of figurines with motif and story. It is also an obvious gift idea for someone interested in art, a painter, a creative soul or as a personal detail in the home, the studio or on the shelf together with other porcelain figurines.

Older porcelain figurines like this contain a special value because they unite Danish design tradition, good craftsmanship and history. Choosing a figurine with age and soul is at the same time a beautiful way to give classic decorative art new life. It can stand alone as an eye-catcher or be included in a collection of child figurines, artist figurines and classic Bing & Grøndahl figurines.
