Bing & Grøndahl Boy on dolphin figurine no. 4058 or 58

Boy on dolphin is a classic Bing & Grøndahl figurine with a vivid and poetic expression. The motif combines the lightness of childhood with the movement of the sea, where the boy is modelled in a free and natural pose on top of the dolphin. The glossy white surface and the soft modelling give the figurine a calm, sculptural character that fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors.

The figurine is designed by Kai Nielsen and executed in Blanc de Chine, a technique that emphasizes form, light and shadow rather than colours. Here you get exactly what many collectors and design enthusiasts seek in a porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl: a pure expression, fine transitions in the form and a composition that appears harmonious from every angle. The boy's lifted upper body and the dolphin's curved body create a beautiful movement in the figurine, making it particularly well-suited for display on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a side table.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also contains the special quality found in older craftsmanship and design, created to last and to be appreciated for generations. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to decorate more personally and sustainably. It adds character and soul to the home and can easily be combined with other white porcelain figurines, objets d'art or Nordic design.

This Bing & Grøndahl figurine is ideal for the collector of Kai Nielsen figurines, for someone who loves classic porcelain figurines with boy figures and animal motifs, or as a gift for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain and timeless sculptural design.
