Søholm Great Statesmen John F. Kennedy piggy bank no. 2, 1980

Søholm Great Statesmen John F. Kennedy piggy bank no. 2 from 1980 is a characterful ceramic figure that combines portrait art and function in one collector's item. The figure is designed as a bust of John F. Kennedy with distinctive facial features, short hairstyle, shirt and tie, and it also functions as a piggy bank with a coin slot in the back of the head. This gives the model a special expression, where historical portrayal meets Danish applied art.

On the back appears the inscribed text "John F. Kennedy 1917 - 1963", which clearly emphasizes the figure's motif and historical reference. This makes this Søholm piggy bank ideal for collectors of political figures, ceramic figures and the Great Statesmen series, but also for those who appreciate design with narrative and personality.

As a statesman figure and portrait figure, this model stands out by having both decorative and practical value. It can stand alone on a shelf, in an office, library or collector's corner, where it adds a calm, reflective and historical touch to the room. At the same time, it is precisely this kind of older ceramics with a clear motif and function that continues to arouse interest, because it is created to be used, kept and appreciated for many years.

Vintage figures and piggy banks like this have a special appeal, because they bring both cultural history and sustainability into the home. Choosing older ceramics with history is also a way to give good craftsmanship new life. This John F. Kennedy piggy bank from Søholm therefore fits nicely into a modern home, where the joy of collecting, interest in design and a sense of reuse are welcome to go hand in hand.
