Søholm money bank Erik Hoffmeyer - Money Bank of the Year

This money bank from Søholm combines portrait figure and piggy bank in an expression that immediately attracts attention. The motif is Erik Hoffmeyer, depicted as a characterful bust with distinctive facial features, glasses and a calm, thoughtful expression. It is precisely the type of figure that functions both as a utilitarian object and as a decorative collector's item with clear personality.

Søholm's money banks hold a very special place in Danish design and collector culture, and this model is part of the series "Money Bank of the Year". The figure has the simple, sculptural form that suits the motif well, and it appears as a fine example of how ceramics can be used to create both humor, identity and history in one and the same object. For many, a Søholm piggy bank will also evoke memories of a time when the piggy bank was a fixed part of the home.

As a vintage money bank, it has a charm that extends beyond the function itself. It can naturally be included in the decor on a shelf, desk or in a collection of Danish ceramics, figures and piggy banks. At the same time, it is an obvious gift idea for collectors, for the design enthusiast or for someone who appreciates objects with history and soul. Preserving and using older quality ceramics is also a beautiful way to choose more sustainably, because good craftsmanship gets new life in a modern home.

This Søholm figure appeals both to those who collect money banks, Danish figures and ceramics, and to those who are looking for a different piggy bank with a distinctive motif. The combination of portrait, function and Danish design tradition makes it an exciting find with collector's value.
