Søholm Savings Man Niels Arnth-Jensen 1982 - Savings Man of the Year

This Søholm savings man from 1982 is a characterful money box and an interesting collector's item with a portrait of Niels Arnth-Jensen. The figure is designed as a bust with distinctive facial features, short hair and a calm, serious expression, which gives the model both weight and personality. As a savings man, it stands out from more traditional money boxes and adds a piece of Danish design history with a distinctly figurative character to the collection.

The savings man is manufactured by Søholm and, according to the existing information, belongs to the series "Savings Man of the Year". This makes it particularly relevant for collectors of Søholm ceramics, Danish money boxes and figures associated with great statesmen and prominent personalities. The motif is modelled with a focus on the individual features of the face, and it is precisely this portrait-like form that gives the figure a more personal and historical expression than many other money boxes.

As an older collector's item, this Søholm figure also contains the charm that comes with original applied art and design with history. It fits well into a collection of Danish ceramic figures, but can also stand alone as a decorative feature on the shelf, in the office or in a home where one appreciates objects with a story and distinctive character. Choosing older ceramics and collector's items is at the same time a good way to give beautiful craftsmanship new life and let quality objects continue to create joy in contemporary interiors.

For collectors of Søholm, "Savings Man of the Year" and Danish savings men, this model is an obvious find. It combines function, portrait art and collector's value in one and the same figure and is suitable as a gift for someone interested in Danish ceramics, money boxes or historical figures.
