Knud Basse Two Bear Cubs figure in stoneware H 17 cm

Two bear cubs by Knud Basse is an atmospheric animal figure in stoneware, where the motif exudes closeness and calm. The two small bears sit close together, and the simple composition gives the figure a warm and human expression that makes it easy to cherish. For you who are looking for a bear figure, animal figure in stoneware or Danish ceramic figure, this is a motif with both charm and personality.

Knud Basse is known for his animal motifs, and here the formal language is soft, rounded and earthy. The figure has a brown mottled glaze with fine variation in the surface, which suits the motif and emphasizes the character of the stoneware. From the front the two bear cubs are seen with small defined faces and close-set bodies, while the back is more simple and smooth in expression. This gives the figure a calm overall impression, which makes it decorative from several angles.

A figure like this fits beautifully into both classic, Nordic and more personal interior design. It can stand alone on a shelf, in a bookcase or on a chest of drawers, but also works well together with other animal figures, ceramic figures or Danish crafts. The motif of the two bear cubs also makes it an obvious gift idea for a collector or for someone who is fond of animals, ceramics and design with character.

Older figures in stoneware often have a special ability to add soul to the home. When you choose a figure with history, you are at the same time choosing a piece of lasting craftsmanship that can find new life in a modern home. It is a sustainable way to decorate - with quality, personality and respect for what has already been created.
