Kosta Boda glass figurine 1971 Family Father - Kosta Sweden

This glass figurine from 1971 depicts the family's father and is a characterful part of the Kosta Sweden Family series. The figure is designed as a stylized man with a top hat, defined face and moustache, and the simple form gains a lively expression through the black contours and the golden decorations on the front. The clear glass gives the figure a light and bright expression, while the details add personality and warmth.

The motif has something both graphic and narrative about it. The upright posture, the hat and the distinct facial drawing make the figure easy to recognize, and that is precisely what makes it ideal for collectors of Swedish glass figurines and vintage design in glass. On the figure the text "1971" and "Kosta Sweden" can be seen, which emphasizes its identity and connection to the series.

As a vintage glass figurine, it contains both design history and charm. It fits beautifully in a bookcase, a display cabinet or as part of a complete arrangement with other figures from the same family. Older glass designs like this are made to last, and it is a special pleasure to give a piece of applied art with history new life in the interior. The figure adds personality to the home and is at the same time a sustainable alternative to new production.

This Kosta Boda figurine is also an ideal gift idea for collectors of Scandinavian glass, Swedish design or decorative human figures. It works well on its own as a small art object, but especially comes into its own together with other figures in the series, where the story of the family becomes even clearer.
