Kosta Sweden Family 1975 Grandfather glass figurine

This glass figurine depicts the family's grandfather and is a charming part of the Kosta Sweden Family series from 1975. The figure is made of clear glass with a calm, simple form, where the face, beard, moustache and clothing are marked with fine details. At the bottom of the figure stands the year "1975", which clearly links it to the series' annual releases and makes it particularly interesting for collectors of Swedish glass figurines and annual figurines.

The motif has lots of personality. Grandfather is depicted with a hat, dark moustache, marked eyes and a full beard, which gives the figure a warm and recognizable expression. On the body, small decorative buttons and a simple line-drawn jacket can be seen, emphasizing the stylized formal language. It is precisely the combination of humor, character and the clear light effect of the glass that makes this figure something very special.

As a vintage glass figurine, it contains both design history and narrative. Older glass design like this is created to be preserved, collected and enjoyed for many years, and it gives the home a personal atmosphere with more soul than mass-produced new decor. The figurine can stand alone in a display cabinet, on a shelf or in a still life with other glass figurines, and it is also ideal as a gift for a collector or for someone who loves Swedish glass and figurines with history.

If you collect Kosta Sweden Family, the grandfather from "1975" is a fine addition to the family. The figurine works both as a collector's item and as decorative applied art, where the light plays beautifully in the glass and highlights the tangible details of the motif.
